Zenobē in Germany

Accelerating the uptake of clean power and transport in Germany.

Electric vehicles and grid-forming battery storage

We are bringing our specialised global knowledge to the transport and energy sectors in Germany. With experience developed since 2017, we’re ready to solve unique transport challenges across Germany’s regions as they electrify and to support innovative battery storage installations for an increasingly renewable grid.

Solutions for clean power and transport

Our German team bring strong local experience and complement it with our global expertise in electric transport and grid-scale battery storage, helping organisations accelerate the transition to cleaner, more reliable energy and transport systems.

Zenobē supports 10 electric school buses with The Trans Group

Zenobē partnered with Educational Bus Transportation (EBT), a managed entity of The Trans Group, to finance 10 electric school buses and deliver the associated charging infrastructure for Copiague Public Schools. The project supports New York State’s school bus electrification goals while providing zero-emission transport for approximately 4,500 students and creating a scalable foundation for future fleet expansion.

Network Infrastructure

Germany is one of Europe’s fastest-growing battery storage markets. As renewable generation continues to expand, battery storage will play an increasingly important role in maintaining system stability, supporting network reliability and maximising the use of clean energy.

Zenobē develops, finances, builds and operates grid-scale battery storage projects. We bring experience from some of the world’s most advanced battery storage assets, helping network operators unlock new approaches to grid flexibility and renewable integration.

Supporting the energy transition

01.

Integrating renewables

Battery storage helps manage the variability of renewable energy, storing excess generation and releasing it when it is needed most.

02.

Maintaining grid stability

Our systems can support network stability through services including voltage management, reactive power and other flexibility solutions.

03.

Reducing costs

Battery storage can reduce the need for expensive network reinforcement while supporting a reliable and affordable electricity system.

Why Zenobē?

Zenobē operates some of the most technologically advanced battery storage assets in the world.

We were the first company to use grid-scale battery storage to provide commercial-scale inertia and short circuit level services to a transmission operator. We have also pioneered the use of battery storage for reactive power, black start and other critical network services.

As these markets continue to develop in Germany, we look forward to bringing this expertise to support the country’s transition to a more renewable energy system.
