Zenobē, the UK’s leading owner and operator of transmission connected batteries, today announces the financial close of its 200MW/800MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) at Coalburn, South Lanarkshire, Scotland.
Zenobē has secured c.£980m in new financing to support the deployment of more than 1,200 electric buses and associated charging infrastructure across the UK and Ireland over the next three years, accelerating fleet decarbonisation and supporting operators’ transition away from diesel.
With this agreement, Zenobē strengthens its position in the Spanish market, where it continues to develop large-scale electrification projects in collaboration with leading operators in the sector.
