End-to-end electric bus services

We deliver fleet electrification support tailored to authorities and their bus operators.

Future-facing technology, simplified.

Zenobē helps franchising authorities and bus operators make the transition to electric fleets. In most cases electrification will draw in new technical, commercial and operational expertise beyond the scope of traditional transport teams, requiring specialist expertise.

We’ve worked with operators and transport supply chain partners since 2017, to establish a suite of services designed to reduce the risks associated with electrification. These services include infrastructure delivery, energy management and ongoing operational performance support.

Typical service pathways

Bus fleets can select the services that best meet their needs from a flexible range of options – all designed to reduce operating costs, minimise vehicle downtime, and enable informed decision-making. You can talk to our team to learn more.

Early visibility of risk

What are the hurdles you could face when moving a fleet to electric? These can include defining a proportionate fleet investment strategy that delivers value for money, and equipping teams with the right capabilities to deliver on specialised outcomes.

Electrification introduces new considerations that may sit beyond the traditional remit of transport teams. Early-stage decisions can significantly influence long-term cost, reliability and performance.

Fortunately, we’ve already solved these challenges, for large-scale bus operators and SMEs alike, helping them shape a model that works for their communities.

Protection by design

Reaching ambitious net zero targets requires a considered approach. Many bus operators moving to electrification seek to avoid exposure to battery cost and performance uncertainty – now typically achieved through as-a-service models.

Long-term infrastructure and vehicle investment can also be supported through specialised funding structures. By providing upfront capital, Zenobē takes on key technology and operational risks within a single accountable delivery framework across the lifecycle of the assets.

Our specialists can also provide guidance on energy procurement to help manage exposure to electricity price volatility, as well as battery management services designed to mitigate degradation risk.

"In reimagining our Victorian tram sheds for a new era, Zenobē developed carefully considered plans for the new infrastructure. Our ambitious programme of decarbonisation demanded both a clear strategic vision, and a robust, deliverable installation plan. We now have a depot to be proud of: future-proofed, and delivering quiet, clean buses for our communities. The Zenobē team combine expertise that’s aligned to our needs as a municipal organisation: transparent project and cost planning, prudent financial stewardship, and deep electrical and energy capability. This integrated approach helped us deliver a complex programme with ease, with implementation expertly executed on the ground."
