THE OPPORTUNITY

Zenobē are looking to hire for an experienced Network Support Engineer to join our busy Operations team and play a key role in the day-to-day smooth running of our projects. You will work collaboratively with our Operations and Product teams and provide best in practise support for all network and hardware related issues on our sites, taking a lead in commissioning new hardware and network devices when necessary.

A TASTE OF THE DAY TO DAY

  • Provide level1 operational support on network and hardware related issues
  • Commission new hardware and network devices according documentation for new installations/replacement
  • Analyse simple and more complex issues mainly through monitoring tools
  • Provide first level support between Operation teams and technical 3rd parties
  • Assist field technicians with debugging hardware/network issues remotely
  • Flag critical issues
  • Produce and Enhance existing Documentation
  • Test and improve resilience of sites, in design, construction and operations
    • Oversee final processes of UAT on site before it is handed over to client
  • Establish new procedures
  • Oversee new site commissioning regarding network requirements, support creating network topology diagrams.
  • Support and advise construction teams (based on plans/procedures)
  • Support efforts to produce a generic site install process/specification
  • Ownership of site specific configuration of devices and document these

A BIT ABOUT YOU

  • System administrator level knowledge on
    • Linux systems (mainly Debian/Ubuntu)
    • Networks
    • Monitoring tools
  • Network – good understanding/experience on
    • Larger routed networks
    • Firewalls
    • VLANs
    • SSH
  • Good analytic skills/correlating multiple sources (monitoring tools, log files, field reports)
  • Documentation:
    • Produce documentation for both management and hands-on personnel
    • Extract relevant information from existing documentation
    • Produce guides
  • Scripting
    • Writing basic bash scripts for operations
    • Ansible experience is a plus
  • Experience of dev ops support, ability to support out-of-hours
  • Experience in embedded / IoT systems
  • MikroTik RouterOS experience
  • Pro-active mindset
  • Good analytical skills
  • Experience using AWS
