Electrical Field Engineer – Portable Power

The Electrical Field Engineer is a brand-new addition to our Operations team. This position could present an exciting opportunity for someone from an electrical background to come in and drive this role and Zenobē forward, becoming a key technical expert in a new area of the business.

As a proactive and driven Field Engineer your role will be responsible for working with our 2nd life battery partners to absorb their knowledge and then apply this across Zenobē ’s projects.  Using your effective communication skills you’ll provide support to our future portable power customers, addressing issues on site-based units and our testing facility.

This role will require you to spend one week a month in the Netherlands. The rest of the time will be split between your home, our Head Office in London and our testing facility in Portsmouth. Please be prepared to be on call during specific periods.


  • Spend time with partners in Europe and gain deep understanding of products, becoming an internal specialist
  • Produce and develop in house documentation on operating and troubleshooting products
  • Deliver training to customers operating products
  • Monitor, react and resolve operational issues on portable power side
  • Working with operations and product team to develop software monitoring and reporting tools
  • Use technical expertise to support alternative business areas including Network Infrastructure and EV Fleets



  • An Electrical Engineer or experienced hands on electrician with site based experience
  • Experience of installing and operating generators and island grids
  • Proven track record of technical documentation management
  • BS7671 Certification
  • Valid full UK driving license


  • BS7909 qualification and experience
  • CSCS Gold Card qualification and experience
